My work with clients is designed to provide an alternative non-medical/non-psychological approach for creating healthy breathing habits.  They are only provided as an educational resource and do not replace the service of licensed health care professionals.

As of January 1, 2019, I will no longer be charging a fee for my services.  If you have asthma and want to learn about proper breathing habits and the Buteyko Breathing Technique, please contact me .

This is what is to be expected when working with me:
1st Appointment:
A consultation about your breathing problems and the Buteyko Breathing Technique (1 hour). 

2nd Appointment Nasal Breathing 101 (approximately 2 hours): 

This is an educational course where you will have the opportunity to learn:

• History and theory of the Buteyko Breathing Technique.
• The benefits of nasal breathing.
• Anatomy and physiology of normal breathing.
• How to unblock your nose.
• How to measure a Control Pause (CP) accurately.
• How the Buteyko Breathing Technique and sleeping, diet, exercise, stress, and medication play a role in your breathing.

3rd -- 4th Appointment (1 hour each appointment):

Working on various breathing exercises to change the rate and volume of your breathing. 

Confidentiality

Ann Pianetta will maintain your confidentiality and will not disclose any information you share with her during your sessions without your prior written permission.  You may direct her to share information with whomever you choose and you can revoke that permission at any time.  Ann Pianetta will break confidentiality if she believes you may harm yourself or another, if she is required to do so by court order, or to report abuse or neglect of a child, dependent, or older adult.

Further, please be advised that if any communication regarding your sessions is conducted over via phone (voice or text), via email, or via Skype, or other electronic platform, it is not possible to guarantee the confidentiality of the information contained in any of our telephone and/or Skype, or any other electronic communications.
